ABOUT ME
I started my therapy service to offer a safe space for clients to work on their personal development. I qualified as a CBT therapist in 2021, and since then, I have been providing professional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Prior to that, I had worked with individuals with complex trauma including refugees, asylum seekers, war veterans and individuals affected by natural disasters.
I am an Accredited CBT Therapist and a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). My practice is built on providing culturally sensitive therapy, especially for those seeking a Muslim therapist who understands their unique perspective. I am also trained in Islamic Counselling services with a spiritual model and use this to facilitate my work with faith-based communities, particularly Muslim clients seeking therapy online in the UK.
I have been offering private therapy since 2021 and specialise in working with trauma using TF-CBT, NET and DBR. I also specialise in working with OCD and religious scrupulosity (or waswasa) using Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP) in conjunction with CBT Therapy Online and Deep Brain Reorienting to heal the underlying emotional wounds that drive repetitive thoughts and behaviours.
As a Muslim female Psychotherapist, I integrate faith-based therapy with psychotherapeutic techniques in order to provide treatment that is contextualised according to your spiritual goals.
